Secondary Digital Technologies Teacher

Overview

Built a Prep to Year 11 Digital Technologies scope and sequence from scratch at a small, independent P to 12 college. Wore many hats: curriculum designer, ATAR resource developer, social media manager, and staff PD facilitator.

Tamborine Mountain College was a small school, which meant every teacher wore multiple hats. For me, that was an advantage. I was given the freedom to design the entire Digital Technologies curriculum from Prep through to Year 11, a rare opportunity that let me think about progression and scaffolding across an entire school.

The scope and sequence I built here became the foundation for work I continued to refine in every role since. I also managed the school's social media presence and contributed to NAPLAN facilitation and staff PD.

Working in a small school teaches you resourcefulness. With limited budgets and no department to lean on, you build tools, adapt materials, and solve problems on the fly. Those habits have stuck.
